Mead Simon grew up in Chicago in a Jewish family and began studying Christianity at a young age. After having spent a decade looking at various faiths, Mead become a member of the Baha’i community at 19. He has spent the past 30 years since working with various interfaith organizations throughout Canada and the United States, with the aim of helping people of all backgrounds see the common foundation of all faiths.
Reverend Simon James is a minister of the Spiritualists’ National Union, vice-president of the Inner Quest Foundation and minister at the Open Door Sanctuary in Victoria, Canada. He is a senior tutor and course organizer at the Arthur Findlay College of Great Britain and holds a degree in Applied Psychology. His vast knowledge of comparative religion, mythology and ancient spiritual traditions brings a richness of historical continuity to his work as a spiritual teacher, healer and medium in venues around the world.
Maryl has been active in the Christian Science healing ministry for 40 years. Along with helping individuals find solutions to their problems through prayer, Maryl also prayerfully seeks to ameliorate world issues by acknowledging that divine Spirit, all good, is the one Creator and loves all peoples equally. Maryl is a teacher and inspirational speaker on Christian Science, its spirituality, and its healing practices. Living in St Louis, Missouri, she represents The First Church of Christ, Scientist (the Christian Science headquarters in Boston, MA) on the Interfaith Convening Table of the USA National Council of Churches and engages in Christian/Muslim and Christian/Jewish dialogue at the USA national level. She serves on the Cabinet of her city’s primary interfaith organization, has a Master’s Degree in Theological Studies, and considers herself an interfaith activist. She enjoys being active in the worldwide Compassionate Cities movement.
I belongs to a Vedic Astrologer and Karmkaand proficient north Indian Brahmin family. I learned Vedic Astrology and Karmakaand (Hindu rites and rituals including 16 Samskaara-sacraments of life) from family practice and later from Sampoornanand Sanskrit Vishwa Vidyalay as well. I also obtained the education and training for Yoga, Vastu Shashtra and Ayurved from Gurukul Kanggree Haridwar. Sanskrit and English was 2 of the main Subjects in my Graduate degree. I am also an eye care professional in Canada, hold a doctorate degree in psychology and registered psychologist in Yukon Canada. On the Globe, since 1968 (including 20yrs in Canada), I am providing Hindu Priest, Vedic Astrology, Palmistry, Yoga teaching, Vastu and Auyurvedic remedial consultancy, organizing cultural shows, etc. services to the Hindu community and to the many other faith groups. I am very well versed to read, write and speak Sanskrit, Hindi and English. I also can understand Gurumukhi, Urdu and Kiswahili (an east African Language). Delivering spiritual Lectures (Pravachan) is my specific characteristic. The God blessed me to connect the people during my prayers and lectures. I have fulfilled my family duties (Grahast Aashram), and now this is the time for me to follow Vanprashtha (One part out of the 4 parts of the Vedic Aashram system, which starts when a person hands over household responsibilities to the next generation, takes an advisory role, and gradually withdraws from the materialistic world and peruse spirituality i.e Retired life).
After Graduating in 2011 from Ahmadiyya Institute of Islamic Studies in Toronto, he has worked as a Missionary in Canada, USA and in Africa for sometime. Currently he is serving as Imam at Baitun Nur Mosque, Calgary. Taha has keen interest in interfaith dialog, he has traveled across Alberta and presented Islamic perspective at various conferences. Taha also likes to spend a lot of his time in the education and training of youth, he regularly holds special sessions for Ahmadiyya youth. He likes Hiking and is active member of Tahir Hiking Club.
Gurdeep Singh comes from a diversified background. He was born in Kenya and then moved to London in an early age where he received his religious schooling while being associated with the Temple and Many Sages. He has been a prominent part of the Sikh community and has also been religiously and politically active in London before moving to Victoria 9 years ago. Gurdeep has traveled well to 5 continents and his experiences allowed him to be open minded and a free thinker.
